Marqui Hood

Marqui Hood is a passionate and committed advocate for workers. She received her J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles and her B.A. from Wesleyan University in Connecticut. After graduating from law school, Ms. Hood clerked on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals for the Hon. Raymond Fisher. Ms. Hood specializes in employment law and has significant experience in all aspects of employment litigation.
Prior to starting Durkin and Hood, Ms. Hood worked at a boutique employment law firm, the Law Offices of Lauren Abrams, for thirteen years. Ms. Hood also clerked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in Los Angeles and for the King County Public Defender’s Office in Seattle, Washington. She has taught constitutional law to students at Los Angeles High School through a grant from the Constitutional Rights Foundation. She is a member of the Order of the Coif, California Employment Lawyers Association, the California Bar, Employment Section and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
